RSMS Student Council
What is Student Council?
Student council is an organization committed to helping students become responsible leaders in the school community. Members will coordinate school-based activities and take part in community functions. Some of these activities include: canned food drives, school dances, rose-o-grams, teacher treats, holiday parties, campus clean up, community service, eighth grade dance, and more!
Student Council Policies
Grade policy-As a Student Council representative, you must not have any grade lower than a “C." For the first offense, the member will be placed on probation. Subsequent offenses will result in suspension from the council for the remainder of the school year. Grades will be checked on report cards.
Conduct policy-Students may not receive OSS, or they will be removed immediately from Student Council. Members who receive ISS, Time Out, detention, or have inappropriate conduct in class will be placed on probation for the first offense. Subsequent offenses will result in suspension from the council for the remainder of the school year.
Attendance policy-Students are expected to attend all meetings and events in which Student Council participates. Our meetings will be held BEFORE SCHOOL IN THE LIBRARY. Excessive unexcused absences will constitute removal from Student Council.
T-shirts-Every Student Council member will receive a club shirt which should be worn for club events.
