All About Mr. Gold
Mr. Gold is from Central Pennsylvania. After garnering a Journalism degree from Penn State University and working in country radio for 4 years near his alma mater, he followed his dreams of songwriting and teaching to the Nashville area.
Mr. Gold has earned his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University, and he has just begun working toward his Doctorate with Liberty University. The 2024-25 school year marks Mr. Gold's 11th year of teaching; he's spent his whole career teaching English Language Arts. Before making his return to Rock Springs last year, he taught 3 years at Harris Middle in Shelbyville, he spent 1 year at Oliver Middle in Nolensville, and 4 years at Rocky Fork Middle.
He doesn't just teach writing, it's also one of his passions; in fact he's just released a new song called "Mustard Seed," he's got a multi genre blog, and he just finished his first children's book which is currently awaiting illustrations-any takers?
In his free time, he likes to watch old school WWE and old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes. He's an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans and the Penn State Nittany Lions (WE ARE!!). To unwind, he likes to go to the gym to work out, write and perform music and stories, and watch baking competition shows on Food Network.
