Welcome to Ms. Sloan's class page!
Ways to help your student excel this year:
* Check Skyward frequently to monitor their grades and missing assignments.
* Have your child assist you with budgeting, buying groceries, or paying bills. Using math in real world applications will strengthen their math skills.
* Have your child read out loud to you. Reading out loud will strengthen their reading fluency and pacing.
* Stay involved! Ask about their class assignments, ask to see their notes, help them study by quizzing them from their notes.
* Make sure they have the supplies they need to be successful.
* Make sure they are getting adequate sleep so they can perform their best at school.
Extra Practice:
ALEKS
* Your student can log on to ALEKS by going through Clever and clicking on the McGraw Hill icon under Ms. Sloan's page. The ALEKS program is on their specific level and is a great way to practice skills. We use this program daily in math intervention to help close the gaps in your child's math knowledge.
Moby Max or 99 Math
* These can also be accessed through Clever. These apps provide an opportunity to practice fact fluency. Just five minutes a day can help your student tremendously!
